"Art Prize 2010"

 ART PRIZE 2010 was held in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is the second year for this show. Over 2000
artists had their work displayed all over the city. Viewers could then vote on their favorite.

A little late getting these posted, but this was our summer bike trip down to Brown County Indiana.

Dell is so talented. She manages to wrap herself up in her blanket. But, this time I almost stepped on her until she poked her head out!

A day at MIS. We had just as much fun
before we went into the race!
We made it to lap 130 and that was
it. The heat was just too much!
Also, my poor lil cousin Lori, was
recovering from gall bladder surgery
and still has a drainage tube in her. Now
that is a trooper!!!

So here it is, the finished product. I can honestly say, I did not enjoy this. I just wanted to be done with it and start my next project. Does this say anything about my attention span???

Okay, so I see all these people doing these stitching samplers on fabric. Why can't we do the same thing with our artwork? I am already thinking this might be great framed in a funky gold frame, hanging on my bedroom wall?????

Hooked on hats!

For some reason, I have been hooked on painting women with hats on. This was one I did in the fall. It sold, and I was kinda sad to see her go. I don't usually get to attached to my artwork, but every once in awhile I will miss one after it is gone. I am sure she has a good home though!
